TherapeuticMassage is more than just gently rubbing someone’s sore neck. It is a system of identifying causes of pain and discomfort. This requires knowledge of the anatomy of muscles, tendons, ligaments and the appropriate direction, depth and pressure to alleviate and correct the causes of stress, discomfort and pain.
Swedish Massage — Great for deep relaxation, promotes good circulation, and is revitalizing with light touch. This is a good introduction to massage for first time visits.
Deep Tissue — A more precisely focused massage used to alleviate specific problem areas. Anyone with muscle “knots” that will not go away should try this technique. Great for athletes.
Myofascial Release — Chronic muscle spasms are often not a problem with the muscle, but with the tissue that encloses the muscle called fascia. Like tight clothing, tight fascia does not allow the muscle to move and function properly. This technique was specifically developed to promote loose, better functioning muscle tissue.
Pregnancy massage — See our detailed link.
Aromatherapy — Enhance your session with pure essential oils like calming lavender, joyful grapefruit, or cleansing tea tree, just to name a few. The uses of essential oils range from relieving muscle fatigue, reducing soreness and stiffness, soothing nerve endings, and enhance skins texture, tone, softness and radiance as well as creating a calming atmosphere. Aromatherapy is added to each massage session with no charge!
Paraffin Dip — Arthritic hands and feet can respond positively to deep warmth. Paraffin bath is a healing therapy that will give you natural relief from pain. It is also a great treatment for overly dry and cracking skin.
Hot Stone Therapy — Hot Stone Therapy will take your massage session and take it that next level of deep relaxation. Using a thermal effect from heated stones, this therapy allows muscles to readily relax, as well as providing a focused treatment to deep-rooted connective tissues.
Integrated Reflexology — This therapy is incorporated into Pregnancy massage sessions. Please see that link for more details.
Foot Rejuvenation — Relieve your stress through a good old fashioned foot soak mixed with calming essential oils, followed by a warming paraffin dip and topped off by a detailed foot massage. Great for your overworked, tired, sore, or dry cracking feet.
Soft Hand Treatment — Reward your hands for their hard work. First a moisturizing paraffin dip, and then a hand massage with calming essential oil.
