Chiropractors are trained and licensed in physiologic therapeutics and our office has gone well beyond the minimum standard, with an additional three years of study, I am board certified in rehabilitation of the spine. And with our ability to safely adjust or mobilize the intricate joints of the spine (Chiropractors must pass four years of training to develop this skill and that’s why it’s illegal and ill advised for physical therapists to attempt to adjust the spine). Every day more and more research has shown the benefits of exercise to control weight, improves heart health and improve the quality of your life. In our office we can help you determine and guide you in your health goals. We can evaluate you for strengths and weaknesses of your muscular system. And then develop a targeted program to improve your strength and reduce the likelihood of re-injury.
What you will like about our program is that nothing we do requires expensive equipment or vast amount of time. Many of our patients have found they can effectively improve their physical well being with only a few exercises and a few minutes of work.
For the last few years I have been teaching the spinal stability exercises that I use in my office at Harrisburg Area Community College. Using nothing more than a stability ball and two classes a week we have had great success in improving the core strength (abdominal and low back strength) of the students who have taken the class.
Additionally, on a personal level I stay very active as a competitive distance runner, triathlete, weight lifter and occasional golfer. I am well aware of the aches, pains and injuries of the weekend warrior. I can help you heal faster and prevent injuries so that you can enjoy your life to its fullest.
