The Annual Run with the Lions

Join us for the Paxtang Lions Annual 5K Run

The Lions Club is the world’s largest service organization whose mission is to assist the sight impaired. Some of our projects include providing free eyeglasses and exams for children and families in need. All proceeds benefit the missions of the Paxtang Lions. Awards begin promptly after race.

Date: Saturday, May 7, 2011
Time: 5K begins at 9:00am. Kids 1⁄4 mile “Fun Run” begins at 8:50.
Categories: Male/Female-17 and under, 18-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
Course: A friendly course through neighborhoods in the Borough of Paxtang. The race begins and ends at the Paxtang Borough Building at 3423 Derry St. (look for our banner).
Entry Fee: $20 for the 5K or “Fun Run” of postmarked by April 23rd or earlier; $25 if received after April 23rd Please make checks payable to Paxtang Lions Club.

Directions to the Paxtang Lions Club 5K Race

From Harrisburg and Areas South of Harrisburg:

Follow 83 North to Exit 45 which is the Paxton St. Exit. When you get off the exit, go to the light and turn left on Paxton St. Then go to the next light and turn left on Paxtang Avenue. Follow Paxtang Avenue to the next light and turn left on Derry St. The Paxtang Borough building is one block down on the left. Park behind the Borough building.

From 81 North or South and Areas North of Harrisburg:

Follow 81 North or South to the 81/83 split. Take 83 South to Exit 47 - the Derry St. Exit. After exiting, go to the light and turn right on Derry St. Proceed on Derry St. for about one mile until you see the Paxtang Borough building on your left Park behind the Borough building.
